From the '70s artisan's laboratory to today's atelier: many years has passed since xxx and Piera Foppa Pedretti began their path through the world of furs.
A story made of reliability, competence, dedication and care, from work under contract to the selection of the best pelts used to produce their own label furs: marmot, lynx and mink furs of important volumes, as typical of that period's fashion.
Even if forerunner in this industry, at the same time the family was very anchored to tradition and used to show to the clients bunch of perfect pelts to choose, so to create their own fur. Once the kind of fur and the colour were chosen, the internal part was signed, pelt after pelt, a sort of seal to guarantee the property of those selected. And finally was the turn of the model...
Ettore, the only child, grew up among all this, breathing the atmosphere of craftsmanship and learning its values. So, in the '90s, when he took the reins of the company, he decided to renovate it keeping faith, nevertheless, with the family tradition. Together with his wife Licia, he turned the old laboratory to today's atelier, including a style department and a showroom.
Ettore personally manages selection and purchase, while Licia follows the design and construction of the models and the customers.
Today the Foppa Pedretti atelier stands for style and innovation, research and absolute quality and it's considered one of the excellence of Made in Italy. Talking of numbers: two collections a year, the attendance to the most important international trade fairs, the diversification of the offered products starting from sable, marten and chinchilla to prêt-à-porter furs, down jackets and accessories.
In addition to all this the atelier has also regular collaborations with the most important Italian griffe, creating for them exclusive models.
